Daniel Molloy is the boy reporter that listens to Louis story. After hearing Louis tell of being a vampire Daniel imagines it to be a wonderful thing and goes in search of Lestat using clues from the tape of Louis story. Once he finds Lestat’s house he also finds Armand who wishes to learn about the 20th century through Daniel. They become companions but Armand will not give Daniel that which he desires – immortality. They separate and when they are reunited Armand sees that Daniel is weak and may die he gives Daniel the dark gift. |
