Chapter eight
When I woke the next nigh all I wanted was to see Luke and hear his voice but I couldn’t could I the queen had taken him and now I was determined to get him back from her no matter what the cost if it meant paying with my life so be it I would even give her Vincent if she wanted him back.
As we came close to her island it dawned on me that we might all be dead in a matter of minutes if she so whished to be so. “Uncle why has she not killed us? Surely she knows that we are here by now” “she knows we are here I can feel her she’s waiting for us to come” “and Luke can you feel him is he still alive?” “I don’t know. Can you Vincent?” “Yes he is there but he is not human any more she has changed him”
As we entered the room where Luke and the queen I didn’t think what I saw would make me feel so ill.
There they sat on two golden thrones both dressed in gold and wherein crowns there was also some other immortals who as far as I could tell were her guards. “So you have found me then. I wondered when you would come” “Luke come to me and we will go home” “and why would I do that mother so you can control me like you always do. No I will not leave my queen” “come Luke you don’t know what she is like” “and you do o but you do don’t you father you used to sit on the very spot did you not till you tried to kill her” “yes I tried to kill her and for good reason to she wants to rule the world and she can not” “yes you are right she cannot but together we can and will. I now give you all a choice join us or die” “we will never join you” “ then you will all die” “Luke think about what you are saying!” “Don’t you see I have and you had the chance didn’t you father and you passed it up” “Luke sit back down we don’t need to bother with this” “Luke I m your mother listen to me. I love you pleas come with me” “I have had enough of this discussion” and with that he through me across the room. Then they both got up and came down the steps and towards us the queen went for me and Vincent came between us. “So this is why you left me and all my power for a mortal and now she is no more human. That’s what I loved about you Vincent you where always protective over me to do you remember?” “Yes I remember” “come back to me Vincent I will forgive you” “what makes you think I will come back to you” “because you crave power the same as I do” “you are wrong I don’t want power” “so what do you want?” “My son and to leave this place” “never” “why not you have what you wanted you have his blood now let him go” “yes I have his blood but he is still stronger than me now he is an immortal he can still kill me and that’s why I wont let him go” “and what about us what are you going to do about us?” “I will let you live if you leave hear now and don’t come back or try to find us” “and if we go you wont harm us you will leave us alone” “yes I will” and with that we left as we walked out and away from my son I knew that this wouldn’t be the end of it that they would come looking for us and she was still going to try and take over the world and when she did we would be there to fight her and Luke to the death if we had to.
