Whistles, fireworks and magical tricks! Candles to set the mood Face paints and masks Gallant gentlemen to escort us For us to entertain and receive their graces Ladies dressed elegantly Peering through eyeglasses Too elegant for my liking Makes me feel disorientated As if I should be quoting Shakespeare Or in fact being Lady Macbeth on the stage Tragic and Oh so Captivating! But I will be the fool of King Lear With my face paint and words poetic Shall we be as such darling dear one?
