... or it will atleast be the death of me. For a fair amount of time now, I have been very intrigued by the mythogoly and facts of Vamparism. I have studied a range of books from fictional such as Twilight and Sunshine, to so called non-fictional books revealing the occult truths of vamparism such as Vampires by Tom Slemen. I have even gone as far as researching a cult/religion called The Temple of Vampires. My next step in my research is to gain my own compilation of peoples stoires/facts on the subject at hand. And if I'm completely honest, I would love to here from a "real" Vampire. Please help me in any way..I'm stupidly curious (:

There are many people here who would be willing to answer questions. You can also read through the FAQs and use the search to find more information.

Ooh! ooh! I'm a real vamp! You can ask me!!! Okay, okay, enough with the silliness. I am a real vampyre, a psionic/psychic, meaning I feed from energy, not using blood. Feel free to ask me questions either here in the forms or by Private Message (PM). There's a button to send me a message at the bottom of this post box. You can also send one from my profile page. (This is true of everyone.) Ask me anything, and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Welcome to the realm. I am also a real vampire, and you can talk to me via PMs if you want to, or we can talk on the forum or in the chat room. Just a warning though, if you are hoping to find the vampires of mythology, they don't exist and you won't find them anywhere.

Sadly, I am not a vampire, although I have an unhealthy obsession with them :/ I have a couple of questions 1) Can humans be 'turned' or 'blooded'? 2) I've read about people being 'turned' by a vampire, and that vampire then becomes their master, if a human does 'turn', would it have a master? 3) Do vampires really get harmed if exposed to, holy water, a cross, garlic, etc.? 4) I've also read of vampires living by obtaining energy, how is this done? I would be very grateful if any of you could answer my question Peace!

emoboy, the answer to questions 1-3 is NO. as for #4, vampires do feed off of energy. there are different ways to do so like, feeding from blood (sang), feeding directly off of energy (psi) or feeding from sexual energy/fluid (tantric AKA succubs) for future reference, try reading through the "don't ask" section, overly abuse the search button, hang out in chat, or pm someone (you can pm me anytime, i would be happy to help if i can.) before you post things like this. there are at least a million of these posts already and people get kinda tired of answering the same question over and over again. welcome to the realm!

No, No, No, and through Psi or Sang feeding.

Slight correction to grave's post (as I'm a sexual, I can speak for it): Sexual vampyres can be either psi or sang, or they do both (sort of). In one theory I've come up with, if a sex act is engaged in by a heterosexual pair with the female being a vampyre or with a male homosexual pair with the vampyre being the receiver, and without the use of physical barrier birth control, the vampyre could potentially absorb energy both psionically and through the fluids deposited by their partner using their sacral chakra. (I don't think this would work with lesbian vampyres as they don't deposit fluids in their partners, though consumption could be a viable feed. Sorry if I'm pushing boundaries here, I'm trying to be as "health class" as I can.) Also, only female vampyres could be called succubae (plural of succuba - not a reference to the demonesses, whou would be called succubus, pl. succubi) though some would rile at the title because the Latin translates to "prostitute." Males would be called incubi, singular incubus.

Thank you all for reading my post and answering not just mine, put others questions too. I've found this website to be incredibly helpful my research and general curiosity, however these is still one topic I'd quite like to know more about. That's the whole "how do you end up being a vampyre" topic...

Lixy, that question has been nswered thousands of times. You don't become a vampyre. You have to be born one. We don't Turn of Change, we Awaken. We become aware of our nature as it manifests. Not a pretty comparison, but let's see if I can clarify it this way. Vampyrism (as a condition) manifests later in life just like schizophrenia. Schizophrenia has a genetic basis that, around the age of 20 or so, manifests in chemical imbalances in the brain that bring about the condition of schizophrenia. While vampyrism doesn't have a genetic basis and isn't even a physical condition, it's much the same. The energy deficiency - the inability to produce or retain enough energy to function - is always there, but the Need doesn't manifest until puberty, when the energy demand ramps up and the normal contact with people doesn't supplement what's needed. Energy, whether taken psionically or through a medium, is our antipsychotic, so to speak, without all the nasty side effects of antipsychotic drugs.

Considering Vampryism isn't a physical condition, I halfway wonder though what a CBC of a vampyre would look like... Would the blood count be within the normal ranges of a fully functioning human? Or would it look more like someone who is anemic? (i.e. low hemoglobin levels and low ferritin)
ME: (to my two year old nephew) You look kind of red. Are you sick? TWO YEAR OLD: No sick. Sick fly away! ME: Your sick flew away. TWO YEAR OLD: Uh huh. No medicine. Sick fly away. Lesson: logic at its most elemental stage.

its not really that we cant SURVIVE with out the energy but, most of the time we'll probably feel like crap. especially, if no doners can be found. i am a sang and i feed off of blood if i can find willing doners.

Canaea, to answer your question using myself as an example, it looks normal as long as the vampyre doesn't have any physical or diet problems that would cause anaemia of any kind. I have a problem with keeping my B12 levels up, personally, but it falls in line with the metabolic problems that run in my family, and the problem really only started after I went to college, so it probably has dietary links as well. (Not vampyre related because I Awakened several years before with no problems arising with the rest of my issues.)
