I absolutely love that vampire chronicles.
Actually I think that Interview with the vampire is the best...I do not think that the others are that good. Although "Blood and Gold" is very nice...it is the story about Marius. Smile
The Queen of the damned movie...argh.

I have read them as well as some of her other works under the her pen names Anne Rampling and A.N. Roqulare (I misspelled that last name) I think she is a wonderful author. The Vampire Chronicles are in my opinion great works of hers, you should read all of the books by Anne Rice, Lives of the Mayfair Witches is a rather good series as well as New Tales of the Vampires.

I live to learn and learn to love, I love to hate and hate to live!

I've read them, i think they are some of the greatest i've read for a long time. Anne Rice is very taltented, and has a great writing style. I have to admit to loving the way she writes, how she can make her world come to life so vividly, to make her creations seem as life like as possible... I think you can guess that i like them.

I love these books also, I'm currently reading The Vampire Lestat, and I'm already loving it.
I'm not sure on one thing though, maybe someone can answer for me because I'm only in the part where Lestat and Gabrielle get jumped by the other vampire's or what lestat calls it the presence and I wanna know one thing...in the first parts it always describes lestat and nicolas, but to me, it kinda seemed like there was a bit of homosexuality in it, that's just from my pov but I'm not sure yet, cause I'm not quit finished the book. And I know that lestat won't turn nicki but it kinda feels like he should have, because, what the book described...he thought about nicki all the time, and even spied on him in a part, that's all I wanna know, lol. yeh kinda a stupid question.
thnx

VampGirl55 I have read THE VAMPIRE LESTAT & I agree with u,there was a little of homosexuality & I have noticed that in a lot of Anne Rice writings, take THE VAMPIRE ARMAND for example and u will see it so clear in that novel.
I think Lestat didnt turn Nikki coz he loved him & didnt want him to suffer for eternty. thats my opinion.

Yeah, you have a point there, it does seem lestat did love nicki too much, but if he was in a way 'obsessed' he would turn him, wanting to be with him forever, but yeah.
