The only vampire book I've ever read is 'Violets are Blue' by James Patterson. I don't know how good it is as compared to others of this genre but it certainly held my attention.

I prefer the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice and the Cirque du Freak series by Derek Shaw. As a love-starved female virgin, I do have my moments when reading a silly teenage romance, such as Silver Kisses, is enticing, but we won't talk about that, will we? - Kris

My favorite vampire book is, ofcourse, Dracula. You gotta stick with the classics...Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles are among my top ten.... Although the Interview with the Vampire somehow makes a better movie... Typical American, aren't I?

I have to confess I adore the Laurell K. Hamilton, "Anita Blake" series. While the first few are very "Buffy" in content (not necessarily a bad thing), but once the vampire characters kick in, especially Jean Claude, it becomes a real good series. Enjoy the night Ellaina
