I think the topic title says it all.
I don't understand how Stephanie Meyers can get away with so much money over such a weak plot. I like a good love story, but reading Twilight was like reading an older woman's vampire fantasy. You know Meyers was totally having fantasies where a vampire falls hopelessly in love with her long before she wrote the series. The sexual frustration probably got to her, she threw some words together on a computer, and voila!
I can understand Meyer's "genius" in knowing her intended audience and milking every sappy lovey-dovey point in the book, and
I apologize if I offend anyone, but I can't be the only person who feels like this. I mean, that woman's people know how to market a book, but it bothers me.
Not to mention, the night the fourth book was released, I had to work an extra 2 hours after close to clean up the Barnes and Nobles Cafe. (Not to mention my arms were sore from making so much white mochas and frappuccinos...)
ME: (to my two year old nephew) You look kind of red. Are you sick?
TWO YEAR OLD: No sick. Sick fly away!
ME: Your sick flew away.
TWO YEAR OLD: Uh huh. No medicine. Sick fly away.
Lesson: logic at its most elemental stage.

We do have a Rant thread for this kind of thing. There is also a Twilight thread that would be suitable too...Just letting you know before the mods find you. Also, I would suggest using search to check for this things. You'll find that people hold the same opinion.
