I love her writting. It's like you're in the book, but when they made Interview with a Vampire and Queen of the Damned into movies they destroyed the books! My favorite characters are Lestat, Marius, and Armand.

Hello everyone. I would have to agree that I also love her Vampire Chronicles series. My favorite vampire character is Marius deRomanus. (That's why his picture is under my name. lol) That being said, "Blood & Gold" is my favorite book of the series. Incidently, out of all of the other vampires, whose story would you like to see next? I would like to see Maharet's. I know that we got a "primer" of this in "Queen of the Damned"; but I mean her story during the long years that no one knew where she was or what she was doing. Sincerely, Laurasia

Maharet and her twin sister (forgot her name at the moment) would be a good yet LONG story to tell cause they are really old. I'd like to see all of them turned into a movie. But whoever wrote Queen of The Damned shouldn't be allowed to murder another one. Really, whoever greenlighted that slow death of a book (my own mother called it a really long really bad music video) should be stripped of their title and shot in both knee caps.
You're kind never satisfy my thirst.

I hate to disappoint anyone, but there aren't going to be anymore Vampire Chronicles. "Blood Canticle" is the last one(haven't read it yet, waiting for paperback). Anne Rice has her own official website www.annerice.com Although she is working on a new series of books. The site is full of interesting points of view from Ms. Rice and a must for any fan. Her late husband Stan Rice was the inspiration for the character Lestat and since he has passed on, she has ended the Chronicles. My favorite chronicle is "The Tale of the Body Thief", closely followed by "The Vampire Armand". If you really like Anne Rice's books you should check out "Servant of the Bones" as well. It's not about vampires but an equally good read. Has anyone read her Mayfair books? Are they good? What am I talking about, of course they're good. But are they really good? Anne touched on the Mayfairs in the later chronicles, "Merrick", "Blackwood Farm" and I believe in "Blood Canticle" as well. I'd be interested in some feedback. And yes, the Queen of the Damned movie sucked balls. But Interview with the Vampire is an excellent film.

Hmm I have not read any of Anne Rice's books but I did see Queen of the Damned. I didn't really like that movie. I was planning to get the book "the vampire Lestat". But is it really worth it if you didn't like the movie. It's going to take a while though to get that book because the dutch version of "the vampire Lestat" is being released 28th of August '04.

Aleks, The Vampire Lestat is an excellent book. It is an essential read if you want to know about Lestat's human life, his making and his early life as a vampire. I recommend this book 100%, enjoy.

Anne Rice is definatly my favorite author. I relate to every charector she wrote about, espeshaly Lestat. It's really sad about her husband, eh? And the fact she wasn't going to write anymore books almost made me cry...I'm only at Memnock the Devil so far (pg. 129) but still...NOOO! My favorite book so far was The Vampire Lestat. I have a question about that book though, were Lestat and Niki lovers or friends? I didn't catch that they were lovers in the book, but I've cought things on the internet that led me the believe the other.

Oh, yeah, and even though Interview With The Vampire was definatly the better movie, Stuart Townsend was the better Lestat by far.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!! Tom Cruise played the perfect Lestat, menacing, aristocratic, willfull and deadly attractive. Stuart Townsend played Lestat like a camp vagabond. Yes you read it correctly, I said CAMP. Everything about the Queen of the Damned movie sucked, with the exception of the actress that played Jesse, she is FIT.

I finished reading "Interview with the Vampire" a few minutes ago. I loved it. If there were no more of Rice's books to read I'd love to read it one more time. But for now, I can't wait to start reading "The Vampire Lestat". Anne Rice is a genious writer.

Oh my. Anne Rice is in my opinion the best vampire novel writter in the known world. I feel as though she might even at one time have encountered a vampire or is one. But she probly isn't one. She's not pale enough.
