I have not read them all but the ones I have read are intense. They are the only books I read. What first got me into these books was curiosity, I wanted to know if there was any truth in them. To any Vampire who sees this message... Is there any truth in The Vampire Chronicles?

I have not read most of them, however i do hear that the basic facts are outlined in the books, however they take it over the edge.

Yes I have read them all, but only excerpts from Blood Canticle.

I'd love to talk about the books with you sometime.

Marco, I have read all of Anne Rice's books and I don't really feel there is any truth in them. The books say when you are turned you are a full vampire (that a lie). The books also say that you will never change in apperance (that's a lie). The books are good but not true about vampires.

Kaiya:

If you only believe that there is one type of vampire, then the books are fictious. But I was made a vampire. Not born one. In fact, my biological functions stopped working the night I was turned: no pulse, no breathing, and definately no breeding. (which isn't actually a bad thing, now that I think about it). So in your theory, what the heck am I?

I'm not saying whether the books are fiction or not. I never met any Lestat or Armand (hmmm, but wouldn't mind sinking mt teeth into either Smile ) But nobody knows everything there is to know about vampire kind any more than any one person knows everything there is to know about mortals.

My unlife has become a really bad B-grade horror movie. And I think it’s about to get worse.

From "Through the Eyes of a Child."

Alex, you are right. I don't know really anything about half vampires and yes our powers do vary. But the book says that a vampire never changes (hair stays the same, you don't age, etc.) I thought vampires appeances changed, but then again I don't know everything.

That is true but the atmosphere she can create is fantastic, much better than the films. ( have you seen the second film, it's pitiful!) pure escapism.

I thought the movies ruined the books. That's why I like reading the book first and then watch the movie because the movies are normally wrong.
