I am a huge fan of both bands and i like them for different reasons, Slipknot for there harsh and thrash like sound and lyric content, and Stone Sour for there versitility, But what band is out right better? What do you guys think? Cause i have been thinking about it and can't make up my mind.

I like both bands as well but my answer as to which is the better of the two would have to be a resounding.....SLIPKNOT!

i'd have to say stone sour is best when it comes to meaningful lyrics, such as sillyworld and through the glass and such, but slipknot is just damn good to listen to when you're pissed. just like probably the best song to listen to when you're pissed is let the bodies hit the floor by drowning pool. that or some children of bodom.

Have you seen Corey Taylor's masks? They have quite large holes in them to accomodate his mouth...even one as large as his.

I would have to say I like Stone Sour better. To me, their lyrics are more meaningful. I like Slipknot as well, but very few of their songs have ever really spoken to me.

I'd say Slipknot. I like a couple of Stone Sour songs (but they recently released one which I can't stand) but Slipknot are an old favourite of mine.

I'd have to agree with "justin". But i rarely listen to thrash metal when im pissed off, seems to make things worse.
